Leapmax Industrial offers innovative and efficient power solutions to reduce the cost and environmental impact of running generators. The Generator Fuel Economiser (GFE) or Off Grid GridtoGo™ is an innovative product and works in the same way as hybrid cars deliver significant improvements in fuel consumption. The GFE will deliver substantial reductions in generator fuel consumption, lower the overall maintenance costs and extend the lifespan of a generator unit. In some cases, the GFE can work as a “standalone” mobile power unit.
The principle of the system is simple; the GFE is connected between the generator and the power load. When the GFE runs out of power or when the power demand is high, the generator will start running automatically. Once the GFE is charged, the generator is turned off, reverting to silent emission free power delivery. The GFE will automatically trigger start and stop the generator to manage power needs and maintain the required loads.
Depending on the usage of the generator, combining it with the GFE provides a cost-effective solution with a payback of only 6 months, especially in situations where generator use is very heavy (almost 24 hours a day). This solution also generates additional benefits such as reduced maintenance costs and increased life span of your generator, releasing resources which can be invested in other areas of your business or operations.
The GFE is available in both single and three phase configurations and can be manufactured as standard or to customer specifications.
These are available as Single phase units with sizes of 5, 8, 10, 16 and 20kva or Three Phase units in 9, 15, 24 and 30kva.
The GFE uses identical technology as the GFE mini but is available in larger outputs with greater battery capacity. The GFE comes in 30, 60 and 90kva and can be combined with a pre-supplied generator or to receive an existing generator.
This technology can then be tailored to clients’ individual requirements and can be scaled up to a maximum size of 300kva.
As a rule of thumb, the best generator match is usually 2 to 3 times the size of the GFE. For example a 30kva GFE can be matched with a 90kva generator.
The machine is designed to last about 10 years and is designed to marine standards, however, the batteries are subject to renewal after 5 to 7 years.

A number of optional features are available that include an environment kit, road-tow kit, solar PV frame, and GSM monitoring. Units can be customised for alternative paint colours, connection arrangements and other user specified features.
Battery life depends on duty and environment and typical life equates to 5-7 years in heavy cyclic duty. Alternative battery types are available including AGM, Lead Acid types and Lithium Ion.
